European bishops’ council moves headquarters to Rome

CWN Editor's Note: The Council of the Bishops’ Conferences of Europe (CCEE) has moved its headquarters from Switzerland to the Palazzo Maffei in Rome.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Holy See’s Secretary of State, “underlined how the closeness of the European bishops to the Pope and the dicasteries of the Holy See will be able to give a new pastoral and ecumenical impulse to the CCEE,” the Vatican newspaper reported.
