CWN Editor's Note: On January 7, Pope Francis presided at the Mass of the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord in the Sistine Chapel and baptized 16 infants.
“May they show us how to receive our faith: with innocence and with open hearts,” he said.
The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord was celebrated this year on Sunday, January 7, on the General Roman Calendar. In areas (such as the US) where the celebration of Epiphany was transferred from January 6 to January 7, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord is transferred to the following day.
