CWN Editor's Note: Oberlin College, according to the report, recently outsourced its student health care to a subsidiary of a Catholic hospital—and the college’s president professed surprise that the subsidiary would abide by the US bishops’ Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.

Carmen Twillie Ambar said that “Oberlin had only recently learned that these restrictions would be enforced,” according to to NPR’s paraphrase of her remarks.
