Church leaders urged to resist destruction of Lebanon

CWN Editor's Note: Speaking to a meeting of the Catholic leaders of Lebanon, Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai called for a united effort to resistance the political forces that, he said, are intent on the destruction of Lebanon as a nation.
The Maronite leader spoke to a meeting that included Melkite Catholic Patriarch Youssef Absi, Syrian-Catholic Patriarch Ignace Youssif III Younan. and Armenian-Catholic Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, as well as other Catholic bishops and religious superiors in Lebanon.
