This may be the 1st time the NYT has acknowledged the substantial health risks of estrogen-based contraceptives, risks known for decades (the WHO lists "the pill" as a class 1 carcinogen). Yet the Times has always downplayed them because contraception was central to feminist "empowerment." Still is. So why the about-face? Because woke culture demands yet another opportunity to declare men oppressors & women victims--even women who knowingly accepted the risks. Hypocrisy knows no gender.
