RELATIONSHIP
Kinship between people that, according to ecclesiastical law, is the baasis of mutual rights and duties and affects the validity or liceity of subsequent marriage between the related persons. The relationship may be natural by blood or consanguinity, or contractual by marriage or affinity, or legal by adoption, or spiritual by baptism or confirmation.
