LILY
A symbol of purity. Virgin saints, e.g., St. Joseph, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Catherine of Siena, and St. Gertrude have a lily for their emblem. Signifying virginity, it is one of the primary symbols of Mary the Blessed Virgin, especially in the Annunciation scene.
