CWN Editor's Note: A group of Catholics in South Sudan has protested the appointment of Bishop Stephen Ameyu Martin Mullas as Archbishop of Juba, saying that “the majority of concerned people in the archdiocese” will refuse to accept the Vatican’s choice. The protesters claim that government officials pressed the Vatican to make the appointment, instead of choosing a local priest for the post.
