Veteran law professor challenges Notre Dame president to pro-life consistency

Charles Rice, who for years was a prominent member of the law-school faculty at the University of Notre Dame, has challenged the school's president, Father John Jenkins, to go beyond "cosmetic covering" in his commitment to promote the pro-life cause. Although Father Jenkins has announced a series of initiatives, Rice observed that the president had not reached out to "unashamedly and actively pro-life" groups on campus, nor had he acknowledged the leaders of ND Response, who organized protests against the campus appearance by President Barack Obama.
