Is Pope opening door to Teilhard de Chardin?

With a quick mention of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Pope Benedict XVI may have signaled a willingness to explore the work of the controversial French Jesuit figure, despite widespread concerns about his orthodoxy, writes John Allen of the National Catholic Reporter. The Holy Father spoke approvingly of Teilhard's reference to the universe as a "living host" on July 24.
