It seems that this is my day to notice that things are not as they ought to be!

For example, there is the almost unthinkable referendum on gay marriage in once-Catholic Ireland. As Phil Lawler points out, this puts Ireland on the brink: the referendum will be a test of tolerance.

In another, briefer reflection, Phil asks: Has the sensus fidei disappeared? (The answer is no, though it is sometimes hard to see why.)

As for me, I'm concerned that our ability to match our Spring challenge grant is not yet what it should be. I wrote a commentary on this to post on social media: Urgent! We need extra financial support between now and May 24th....
