Let me take advantage of this pulpit to call attention to a little historical project. It might go unnoticed, since it is tucked away in our below-the-fold In Depth Analysis spot.

The Second Vatican Council is one of the hardest events in Catholic history for people to understand. I believe Henri de Lubac's fascinating notes on Vatican II can help, and I'll be continuing to explore these notes with you over time.

De Lubac was one of the most brilliant and deepest theologians present at the Council.
